About KTIO
The Kobe Trade Information Office (KTIO) is the US Branch office for the city of Kobe, Japan. We are located in downtown Seattle, Washington, home of Kobe’s oldest sister city.
Our office performs a number of duties, including promotion, information assistance and cross-cultural exchanges. We participate in a number of events as well as act as a point of contact between Kobe City, Japan and primarily the United States, although we occasionally assist others from the English-speaking world.
First established in Seattle in 1961, our office currently resides in Safeco Plaza on Fourth Avenue. Being located close to the Port of Seattle and Seattle City Hall makes it easy to collaborate with our sister city and sister port.
